Chapter Member Spotlight - Chuck & Peggy Coon

Peggy and I have been Cajun H.O.G. members since 2011. We moved to Louisiana from Pennsylvania, retiring after 41 years as a Senior Project Manager for a construction company, to be closer to my son and his family.

I bought my first Harley in 1964, a 1948 Panhead with a suicide shifter. Currently I am riding a 2015 Road Glide. I have ridden in all 50 states and all 10 Canadian Provinces.

After attending Indiana University in PA, I enlisted in the USMC and spend 13 months in the Infantry in Vietnam.

Peggy has been riding with me for 20 years. She is working for Gulfgate Construction in Lafayette for over 7 years. Peggy was the Ladies of Harley Officer in 2017. She is currently cancer free after first being diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2017. Peggy looks forward to becoming more involved again with the H.O.G. Chapter and we both can’t wait to start riding with the club more once the weather starts getting cooler.

We have met many Harley friends through the H.O.G. Club since we moved to Louisiana and have especially enjoyed the Bon Temps rides and learning our way around the southern states.
