Chapter Member Spotlight - Gerald & Becky Leger

I pretty much always had some kind of dirt bike or motorcycle. My father rode a motorcycle back forth to work and my older brother always had a motorcycle. I was 15 yrs old when I bought my 1st motorcycle which was a Honda CB360. I rode the tires off that thing with my older brother going all over the states until I got in my 1st motorcycle wreck. A young guy tried to cut across the road in front of me and being in a standard clutch car, he killed it half way across my path. I was lucky to walk away. Through the years I have had bike on and off but always wanted a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy but could not afford it.

I lost my wife in 2008. My brother had just started riding again and had bought his 1st Harley-Davidson a Ultra Classic, which he always wanted. After my wife passed away, my brother started ragging on me to buy another bike to start riding with him again. So one day I passed by Cajun Harley and bought my dream bike, a 2008 Anniversary Fat Boy. I loved that bike.

I met Becky, my current wife, at a crawfish boil and eventually married her. She loves to ride so we have put a lot of miles and a lot of adventures together. I could continue for a while on the adventures I have had thru out the years that I have been riding but I would be writing for a while.

I will finish off by saying that since I bought my Harley, the Cajun HOG family is one of a kind. Everyone is so friendly, well most of them, lol just joking. I have made a lot of friends from Rallies to events and just traveling. It’s a small world we live in. Ever since losing my wife, I made up my mind that life is too short to worry about the small stuff. So I live my life like there’s no tomorrow and I want to do it on a Harley-Davidson. So Ride and Have Fun. See y’all on the Road!!!!
